A turn of the 20th century hand painted hotte with a hand-painted coat of arms featuring the Chateauneuf-du-Pape coat of arms of two crossed keys entwined in a curled ribbon that emanates from the base of a closed crown.
Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a commune in the South of France famous for its vineyards. Most of the cultivable land has been used for planting grapes, which are used to produce a well-known red wine appellation.
