Vintage 1920s Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grape Hotte
Product Description
Integral to the Provençal winemaking tradition, this early twentieth century zinc grape hotte is painted in a vivid Mediterranean blue and emblazoned with the coat of arms of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The emblem pays homage to the Avignon popes who made this village their summer residence and whose influence helped establish its viticultural. The zinc surface bears a weathered patina that speaks to years of use among the vines and under the gaze of Romanesque bell towers. A sculptural piece with both rustic and regal character, it serves as an extraordinary vessel for firewood, olive branches, or cut flowers.Product Details
