Product Description
This mid 19th century French large copper colander was built for heavy use in a working kitchen. Forged with a long steel handle and re tinned for modern functionality, it speaks to an era when every tool served a precise purpose and was crafted to last. Its weight and depth suggest it may have been set inside a pot for steaming, the perforations allowing gentle heat to rise through vegetables or shellfish. The copper body has aged with a warm, rich patina, while the utilitarian design remains as purposeful today as it was over a century ago.
