Tatte Bakery & Café
What do classic buttery, flakey, French croissants and a self-taught Israeli pastry chef have in common?
Why of course, eight cafés in the Boston area churning out piles of butter and flour-based baked goods that range from pistachio cream and filled croissants, seasonal fruit tarts, chocolate rose brioche, Palmiers, to muffins, cookies (think chocolate swirled giant meringues and homemade Oreos) , cakes, breads, and a plethora other to die for carbs. Any of these delights served with their hand crafted frothy cappuccinos and the buzz will last long after the last crumb has been devoured.
Prounounced: tah-tay
If you are the type to skip breakfast, no worries. The lunch menu of each of these subway tiled, French bistro styled, and cool serving cat staffed outposts serves killer lunches: shashuka, braised short rid sandwiches with beet labneh on housemade challah, sweet potato tart tatin, and salad selections with seared halloumi, sunchokes, ricotta goat cheese mousse, and tahini or maple labneh vinaigrettes. Selections change seasonally but rest assured, the lines move quickly and do be sure to get something to savor the next day…you won’t be sorry you did.
