This grand and expressive example of early 20th century American silverwork,is an unusual three-handled trophy crafted by Reed & Barton during the height of the Art Nouveau movement. Cast in silver plate with undulating floral relief, the vessel balances naturalistic ornament with formal symmetry. The generous bowl sits elevated on a rounded foot, framed by three scrolling handles that lend architectural grace to its silhouette. Engraved “The Simon Cup,” this piece carries with it the mystery and charm of a past honor. Whether displayed on a mantel or used as an unexpected vessel for cut flowers or chilled wine, it serves as both historical artifact and sculptural object. A rare and evocative find from one of America’s finest silversmiths.
