A fine example of nineteenth century French craftsmanship, this vintage 1880s copper preserve pan is generously scaled with a wide mouth that tapers gracefully to the base and sturdy brass handles. Once used for the slow making of jams, it now serves with equal charm in a modern kitchen. Its depth and size make it a practical vessel for storing potatoes, onions, or other market finds, as well as a tool still useful today in preserving jams. Its warm patina brings the romance of old world kitchens into daily life.
