This heavy iron handled copper lidded casserole was originally used placed over or in coals to leave in the hearth for long slow cooking of stews or meats. Today, it makes for glorious counter storage of bread, crackers, or other dry goods.

Care
Hand wash only. Avoid using abrasive cleaning materials. To maintain copper brilliance, occasionally polish with Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths.
