Vintage 1890s French Copper Preserving Pan
Product Description
A gleaming enormous late 19th century copper preserve pan most likely used in a chateaux kitchen for feeding large numbers of people.
Re-tinned in England using the traditional method of pouring molten tin into the vessel into an even thick coating that is wiped creating a food safe surface (as opposed to modern electroplating which gives a much thinner coating).
