Product Description
A playful yet practical retro serving piece, this large white fish-shaped bowl was crafted in California during the height of the West Coast pottery movement. With its stylized fins, gently curved tail, and wide open form, it brings a touch of retro charm to the table.
The bowl is deep and substantial, ideal for heaping servings of mussels, a composed salad, or an abundant fruit display. The glazed ceramic surface is bright and clean, offering a neutral backdrop that highlights both food and form.
Rooted in a tradition of American ceramics that favored bold shapes and everyday utility, this piece blends whimsy with function. Whether used as a serving dish or displayed on open shelving, it evokes a relaxed coastal sensibility shaped by sunshine, salt air, and the easy pleasures of gathering.
