Over two hundred years old, this slope was crafted from richly figured kingswood and rosewood and designed for correspondence while traveling or at home. Compact in scale yet thoughtfully appointed, the interior opens to reveal an embossed green leather writing surface alongside fitted compartments for pens, ink, sealing wax, and stationery. Writing slopes of this type accompanied their owners on journeys and were equally at home on a library table or secretary desk, providing a portable workspace in an era when letters were the primary means of communication. The striking contrast of exotic woods, fine craftsmanship, and carefully organized interior reflects the refinement and practicality of early nineteenth century English design.

Returned items must be received at our warehouse within 14 days of the return authorization using the provided prepaid shipping label for Weston Table to process a refund. Packages sent without return authorization or a Weston Table provided shipping label will not be processed.
