Salmon, cod, and haddock swim across an antique book plate originally published in Adam White’s 1866 field guide to British fish, birds, and reptiles. The hand-colored lithograph records each fish with the careful detail of nineteenth-century natural history, when field guides made the creatures of Britain’s waters recognizable on the printed page.
John Derian reproduces the antique print in decoupage on mouth-blown glass, with each tray handmade in his New York studio.
