Product Description
Bird eggs become a study in nature’s extraordinary variety on this antique scientific chart from the 1830s. Known as Plate 8: Eir and Nester (Egg and Nest), German naturalist Lorenz Oken’s hand-colored lithograph documents eggs across a remarkable range of sizes and shapes, right down to the speckles that provide camouflage in the wild.
John Derian reimagines the nineteenth-century natural history print in his signature decoupage.
