Product Description
Handmade in Austria by Gmundner Keramik, the Green Deer Pitcher draws on a ceramic tradition more than 500 years in the making. A bold forest green deer is painted against pure white ceramic, giving the centuries-old Alpine motif a crisp, graphic presence that is as modern today as it was centuries ago.
Gmundner Keramik has been making pottery in Austria’s Salzkammergut for generations, where each piece continues to pass through the hands of skilled craftspeople. The deep green and brilliant white feel particularly at home on a winter table, while the simple form makes the pitcher equally suited to water, wine, or a gathering of fresh-cut branches.
