An intricate expression of 1960s European glassmaking, these Queen Lace Kenya champagne flutes are animated by finely detailed copper wheel engraving. Each glass becomes a small landscape, where lion, giraffe, antelope, and cheetah emerge in delicate line, rendered with remarkable precision and movement.
The crystal is clear and finely balanced, allowing the engraving to appear almost suspended within the surface. Copper wheel technique gives the scenes their softness and depth, each line gently incised rather than sharply cut, creating a tonal variation that brings the animals to life.
Tall and slender in form, the flutes carry a sense of ceremony, lifting the pour while drawing the eye upward through the narrative etched along the bowl. No two moments feel static. Each animal seems in motion, captured mid stride across an imagined terrain.
