Product Description
A jockey stands at his horse’s side, reins in hand, in this 1880s bronze lamp inspired by the sporting life. The sculptor captured the horse with particular care, from the definition of its musculature and tack to its poised stance beside the traditionally dressed rider. A deep, time-worn bronze patina settles into the folds and contours, giving the figures wonderful dimension. The lamp stem rises discreetly behind the pair, allowing the equestrian sculpture to remain the focus.
