This set of four French crystal glasses reflects the flowing botanical forms that defined the Art Nouveau movement. Each cerulean bowl bears a finely acid-etched acanthus leaf motif, a painstaking decorative technique that softens the surface without diminishing the brilliance of the crystal. Long, clear baluster stems create an elegant proportion, while the small knop beneath each bowl demonstrates the precision expected of fine hand-blown glass. More than decorative flourishes, these details required additional time and skill at the bench, making examples of this quality increasingly difficult to find today.
