Product Description
A lion’s head commands either side of this substantial silver plate champagne bucket, each holding a large carrying ring within its mouth. The sculptural handles give the otherwise restrained form the character of nineteenth-century table silver, when even utilitarian objects carried an element of ceremony. The generous scale accommodates a bottle surrounded by ice, while the weight of the silver plate helps retain the chill. Architectural in profile, the lion masks and suspended rings give the bucket its unmistakable presence.
