This 19th century French cheese dome and plate reflects the refined dining traditions of the Napoleon III period, when every course received its own carefully designed serving piece. The substantial glass dome protects and beautifully displays cheeses, while the sterling silver trimmed base and handle demonstrate the exceptional silversmithing for which nineteenth-century France became renowned.
