Product Description

The weight of this French copper casserole speaks to the kitchens for which it was made. From the 1860s, its substantial copper body was built to hold and distribute heat over the hearth, with sturdy brass handles at either side for carrying it from fire to table. A fitted copper lid, finished with a handsome brass handle, completes the purposeful design. Nearly two centuries of age have left the copper with a deep, varied patina, while the generous proportions and enduring construction.
