Vintage 1830s English Copper Lidded Stock Pot with Spout
Product Description
Nearly two centuries ago, this substantial English copper stock pot would have sat over the hearth, slowly simmering bones, meat, and vegetables into rich stock. Its remarkable weight helped it stand steadily over the fire, though once filled and boiling hot, lifting it would have been quite another matter. A thoughtfully placed spout allowed the cook to drain the stock directly from the pot.
The ingenuity continues with the double-handled lid, which reverses roles to serve as a sauté pan of its own. Beautifully aged copper bears the marks and patina of generations of use, preserving the character of a serious working kitchen from the 1830s.
