Product Description
An early 19th-century copperplate illustration captures the whimsical charm of folk art, depicting a horse, a leafy tree, a proud peacock, and tiny mushrooms scattered across the ground. Numbered as individual specimens, the figures reflect an era of naïve realism, when imaginative proportions and stylized anatomy lent natural history illustrations their distinctive character. Handcrafted in John Derian’s New York studio, the antique print is preserved beneath mouth-blown glass using his signature decoupage technique, transforming a charming piece of history into an artful accent for the home.
