Product Description

Fondue began as practical winter food in the Swiss Alps, where aged cheese was melted and served with stale bread. Introduced to America at the 1939 New York World’s Fair, fondue eventually became part of après-ski culture on mountaintops around the world.

The Green Deer Fondue Plate is designed for the ritual. Six divided sections hold bread, vegetables, fruit, and meats for dipping into the bubbling pot. A forest green stag is painted by hand against brilliant white ceramic, a stylish setting for a tradition the Swiss have enjoyed since the eighteenth century.
