NYT Wirecutter on the MATCH Pewter Cocktail Shaker

MATCH Pewter Cocktail Shaker from Weston Table featured in Wirecutter's 31 Most Luxurious (and Pricey) Gifts

"The 20-ounce Match Pewter Cocktail Shaker is worthy of martinis for James Bond — or editor Hannah Morrill, who bought one about a decade ago with a Bergdorf Goodman gift card and never looked back. It’s satisfyingly heavy, it holds enough booze for two generous cocktails and lots of ice, and it never leaks. The pewter (a mix of tin, copper, and antimony) qualifies for the “95” stamp, which indicates that it is made from at least 95% tin and is lead-free and food-safe. Since pewter tarnishes much more slowly than silver, it requires little polishing but does have to be hand-washed. Even though her nightly martini days are behind her, Hannah’s shaker sits on a kitchen shelf with a lovely patina to this day."
